I want to root my Xoom now but don't want to lose a couple of emulators that aren't in the Market anymore. Is there a way to extract these or find them on my Xoom before it gets wiped? I do not want to download from any nefarious sites.

If it's the same as my Droid x, you may need to be rooted first. Try looking for the following path in a file explorer though.
Data/App
If you don't see the data folder, you probably have to be rooted to see it

I believe the apks are located in a folder that you can only see when rooted. Something like /data/data.

No dice on any of the subs. Not a deal breaker I can live without them just hate emulators are being targeted now. I'll just hold off rooting for a little while longer ...![]()

Hmm ok may I shall attempt this weekend then. I already have adb setup when I run adb devices it returns the string of my phone and I think the SDK is working OK since that's where I get my screenshots from. They aren't on the root of the C drive but that shouldn't cause any issues other than long typing or adding a path to environment variables right?
