Are you sleeping with it right next to your face or what? How can that little light wake you up?
You could put it in airplane mode or turn off wifi so you don't sync anything at night.

You need some of the sleeping mask things they give you on planes only instead of wearing it yourself, stick it on your Xoom.
I have the opposite happening, I think. I have notifications ON, and have never seen the LED come on.
