Why is the SD card on my Xoom showing diffent contents than when I put it in my PC?
I have my Xoom rooted, running stock 3.1 and Tiamat kernel 1.4.4. I was interested in learning how to do a Nandroid backup for the first time as I am new to rooting. So I Googled Nandroid Backup to learn what it was and how to do it. From what I read it said that I should backup the SD card before I perform a Nandroid backup so that I don't lose anything from the card. I took the MicroSD card out and put it in a card reader for my PC and it was empty. I saw no folders on it or anything, except for the last Tiamat zip file that was on it from my last kernel update. The thing is, when I put it in the Xoom and look at it through Androzip, it has folders such as DCIM, Download, Music, Pictures, TitaniumBackup, etc, etc. This is confusing my as to why I can only see these folders on the Xoom, but not when the card is in the PC. If this is normal, how do I make a backup of the MicroSD card?

The main storage on your Xoom shows as /sdcard. Your actual microsd will show as something else depending on the kernel/ROM you are using.
On Tiamat 1.4.4 I believe its /sdcard/external. Hope this helps.
Remember: It's not really yours until you've voided the warranty.

jb is right, you need to look in a folder within the sdcard folder on your Xoom
So, when I was in the sub-folder that showed the kernel zip file from the last time I flashed, that was the SD card and that was the only thing actually on the SD card then?
Yes, /external is you sdcard. /sdcard is your internal storage.
