Getting frequent FCs suddenly. Need to Wipe and Restore -- I think.
(Tiamat 1.4.4 OC'd @ 1.6, Team Tiamat Xoom Rom 1.0 Deodexed, 3G Hotfix)
Started yesterday - getting FCs on a lot of apps (Stock Email client, LinkedIN, Android OC, Market, and a few others). Some FCs just happen to BG processes while the device is sitting docked. No major actions on my part over the last 2 weeks like flashing or theme'ing. No updates that I did manually - possible auto-updates ran. Tried lowering OC to stock frequency with no noticeable improvements to the FC situation. No OTA updates.
I'm thinking a clean wipe and restore from my last good backup via recovery should do the trick. I'm guessing something in the cache system is jacked?
Has anyone else seen this behavior or have thoughts on just wiping the cache and not doing a complete wipe??
Cheers!

I would give just wiping the cache a shot before doing the whole deal. I'm kinda lazy that way.

What happens when that is done? My ex wife wiped my cash out however I've never done just a cache wipe (sorry - just couldn't resist that one).
Will I need to reset anything after the wipe like system default settings or ??

a cache wipe basically will restore settings to default.because the altered saved settings will no longer be remembered.

I've only been modded a couple days, but today after I turned on my XOOM, both Email and another app FC'd on me, and I had a bit of a freeze. Almost tempts me to go back to stock...

If you were gonna do it, I guess now would be the time... considering the latest news.

Just an update- I finally got around to clearing the cache(s) via recovery and thus far all is well (no more obviously out of control FCs). FYI the first boot after doing this takes FOREVER -- scary forever lol! Just sit back, don't panic - and let it do it's job and everything will be OK!
UPDATE #2: FC's returned a couple days later ... did a wipe and a restore via Recovery last night. All is well thus far.
