Heat and battery management on rooted xoom

So, I have my xoom rooted and overclocked to 1.5. I notice the battery drains from the mid 90's to low 80's in about 10 minutes. Is that to be expected? In addition the temperature remains at approx 103 farenheit. Again, is that okay or am I going to fry the machine?
Should I make any adjustments to manage this or am I running okay?

    Thanks

What kerel or rom are you using? So you're running at a max of 1.5, what do you have your min set to, and for everyday use you should be using ondemand. My battery life is as good or better than stock. If your Xoom is in a porfolio it will run a little hotter than usual.

My Xoom runs between 95 and 105 pretty much consistently.

And what are you doing during that time? If your screen is at 100% brightness and you are streaming a video or playing Order & Chaos over 3g @1.5 ghz your battery will be toast. Once I disconnect from a power source Tasker drops brightness to 20%, turns off auto sync and Android OC drops to 1ghz. Battery much better then. And interactive government.

Nope, normal non gaming usage. Brightness set to auto. Mine has just always run hot. Doesn't seem to cause any problems though.

I am using tiamat ... the latest one for 3.2. Governor is set to interactive. Also, my battery drains just from reading books, but again I have it at permanent full bright which is probably the mistake. Going to change to auto and see what happens. Any other advice?

Auto can be just as bad. If you use widgetsoid you can place a brightness icon into notification bar to quickly adjust brightness. Global settings for my brightness is 10/30/100. Set it below 40% (if possible) and put overclock to 1ghz. No need to have high OC for reading. And turn off auto sync. Also make sure apps that sync update for an hour or longer.

If you havent rebooted in 24hrs do that and boot into CWM and navigate to advanced and wipe battery stats. Give it 24hrs to recalibrate and see where you are at.
