Tachi has two versions, one with OC'ed gpu and the other with stock gpu. Stock gpu is standard on Hammerhead.

That would explain it then.

I will look into it and if I decide to try it I will update the guide with the results, it may not be for a week or so though as I am about to go on holiday. I am not sure if it needs a guide though as the kernel page, which can be found here, contains instructions. It is as simple as copy to SD card, boot into recovery, install from zip (the same steps as are followed for installing the Hammerhead ROM).

Okay, okay I said it would take a few days but I couldn't resist I am now running the overclocked GPU kernel

I haven't got a clue what to do with it yet but it all seems to be running fine. No problems with WiFi or 3G and the programs I have run so far seem to be fine.

I have updated the guide to include instructions on how to install the kernel, see the second post.

is there anything I could do about my 3g connection... I even pushed the telephony files from my uk3.1 backup and still my data only works when I'm ROAMING and I'm not roaming.

Not sure from your post what things you have tried yet.

I am not that familiar with roaming and how it works in relation to the Xoom but guess it must relte the APN.

The first thing to check will be that your Access Point Name is set to the same value as it was before you started rooting it?

ap is the same as it was before. I restored it and apn type was changed from default to default,supl. I don't know what's the difference? also android market thinks I'm in US. Using Tiamat 2.2.1 in MZ601. How could I localize my xoom to europe once again?

Hmm, not sure - I don't know Android well enough to be sure what is going on, I'm not sure what part of the configuration tells the market that it is US. The only things I can think of relating to the are the country setting in the language part of Setting and the country you selected when the Xoom restarted after the factory reset during the rooting process.

It seems odd that the APN changed from "default" to "default, supl" - have you tried restoring the APN database from the Nandroid backup you made at the start of the rooting process?

1. my version in 3.01 german 3g, do I have to make it euro? or update to 3.1 or just do nothing and follow your guide?
2. Could I use the newer version of tiamat 2.2.2 morey instead of the one you are using?
3. how to choose which one is best?
