hmm i tried to relock it and now i get "Failed to boot LNX 0x0004" I'm guessing something went wrong when I relocked it?

EDIT: Also, it says "Starting fastboot protocol support" but my usb doesn't find it? has it bricked?

EDIT: I realise yes it has bricked, but am in the process of making a motorola usb factory cable to unlock the device, should be back in the game soon!

Back in business.Shoul i now flash the stock image and then try to access the recovery to see if it's faulty?

EDIT: I have just locked it to the oem succerssfully again and scrolled through the options at bootup, and all i get still is NVFlash, Fastboot and RSD. No Android Recovery though

EDIT: I just re-updated to 3.1 and have Android Recovery in the top corner. So it must be me doing something during the flashing wrong?

EDIT: Got it working guys, successfully flashed the recovery and installed the zip file from the memory card! must have just got a bad flash last time! Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated!!

i had the same problem, and my issue was unknown, probably a bad flash. make sure you unlocked your device first and retry. if you still have trouble i would recommend getting the stock images from the motodev site and reflashing the stock system, boot, userdata and recovery back onto your xoom followed by relocking it after you have reflashed the stock images on your device. then once your back in stockmake sure you are able to get into the normal android recovery, ie. reboot by holding vol up and power and wait 3 seconds after the ree moto sign comes up, then press the vol down button and see if you get "android recovery " as one of the options. if you are struggling with my instructions i can write up a better one tomorrow as i am on my xoom at the moment!

What i do know is that you shouldnt get the update with out un-rooting it. Then update/root

Are you rooted stock now? I know solarnz who's guide this is, unrooted accepted the OTA and rerooted using this guide.
