    I've got a Verizon 4G XOOM running on 3.2.6. When I got to Step 3 and entered "
    fastboot oem unlock" my XOOM rebooted automatically before I ran the fastboot command. Now, I cannot get the "adb devices" command to recognize my XOOM. Any suggestions?

    No worry..unplug your Xoom. Go to settitng and enable USB debugging.

    Plug it again, open cmd again and run next command starting with cd C:/SDK_tools

    Another Xoom successfully rooted thanks to this thread! I have never rooted before, but I was sick of waiting for Verizon to push out ICS to my 3G Xoom. It took me 3-hours and had a few hiccups along the way, but now I've got 4.0.4 up and running. I can't believe my Xoom is more up to date than my GNex. Thanks everyone.

    Hi, new to rooting. I've had my device for a year and I just decided to convert by Canadian Xoom to a US GED. I'm enjoying ICS right now.
    My question is will rooting erase the contents of my device?
