At this point I have an unusable xoom.

What can I do to at least make it operational again.

Can I start the root process all over again? Or what...

The only thing you did was unlock the xoom, install recovery and flash the root zip. Did you do any other steps?

We may have to send you to the thread to root using the regular method. I'm not familiar with this one so I can't say I know the method or what problem might arise. I do however know the manual method others have posted. The only difference is the need to type a few more commands into ADB.

You can always restart from scratch and go back through the process line by line. It's not going to hurt anything.

Also, I know grant told you to wipe the dalvik cache, but I wipe the cache, the dalvik cache, the user data, everything except system, and SD card. That way there is no question as to something sticking around. 9 out of 10 times a boot loop or failure to boot up is resolved from doing that.

Try it and let us know.

And since you asked, yes, root is worth it if you've decided it's where you want to go. Just being able to flash themes or ROMs makes it worth it to me.

Where you at with this? What system version are you on and what root method did you use? I know you said the one on here but we have a ton of guides.
