[HELP] How To Replace Broken Micro USB port on Xoom fe
any smart guy out there knows how to replace a broken micro usb port on xoom fe?
i bought a new micro usb port replacement that i believe is compatible with my xoom fe but i,m not sure how to put it on my xoom fe. heard about soldering, which i,v never done such a thing before. is that the only solution? or any other easier method?

when i bought my fe the first thing i noticed was the floor models usb port was very wiggly so i was very careful with it plugging in only when it absolutely needed a charge and even then started to become a little loose and i mean i was extremely careful!
after further inspection i noticed the usb's outer shell doesnt make any contact around the fe's casing so theres no barrier to keep the weight of the cable from damaging the fragile soldering job of that port.
im very sorry this happened to you i dont recommend trying to fix it yourself as the pins are very close together especially since you never soldered 1 drop in the wrong spot can ruin your motherboard. however a professional should be able to get it done.

i agree this is not a beginners soldering project.
