    Browser problems

    When I use any browser I get the following message. The process com.google.process. gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close. Anyone have an idea of what is happening?

    gapps error

    hi the error you have is normaly a sync error with a google app (gapps) so one of them isn't syncing correctly you need to go to settings/apps/all and clear the cache and clear data for the google apps that sync then do a soft reboot power button volume up at the same time hope fully this should clear it if not you will need to investigate more as to what app sync is the problem this cab be done by turning off the sync within each app ie i would start with the google bookmarks within the browser as you say its when you open the browser

    I will try that. I cleared the cache on all the Google apps but didn't do a soft reboot.

    Syncing bookmarks is a known issue for Honeycomb. I've been leaving the browser sync off and only turn it on if I change bookmarks in chrome. I haven't had many browser force closes since. Hope that helps.

    It worked. I did a soft reboot and it hasn't happened since. Thanks for the excellent advice.
