I can't thank you guys enough for your help on this, you and Astrix...

Yeah, it's giving the next higher update, I download, it reboots, and installs.... rinse, repeat... lol But it's still going, I'm currently going from 3.1 to whatever is next.

My company I work for is headquartered in Omaha. :-)

No problem, that's what we're here for. My brother-in-law works at Offutt, was a Major but retired and is a civilian for some kind of computer company on base.

These updates keep getting larger and larger in size... that's a good thing. LOL
They don't say what the update goes up to numberwise, I can't tell that until I view it after the install. But it's moving on up.

Sweet! My company is pretty big, they got like 200+ offices across the country. I do CADD, I'm a designer. I'm pretty good with computers, but as you can tell from the last 18 hours, some of this stuff gets a little over my head. :-)

I'm at 4.03 and going to 4.04 now... once it got out of the honeycombs, the downloads offer you the number now... installing now. :-)

Setup adb for fastboot and grab the country images and flash it. This will flash to official stock rom.

If you want JB custom rom. As mentioned on your earlier thread

    Hi all, new here.

I didn't want to start a new thread, because I've gotten so far with this one. I'm also 'converting' mine to a USA version.

I purchased a 'new' Xoom on eBay and it's the Latin American version - when I got to install ICS through updates, it links me to a Latin American Motorola site.

My problem is that after the 2nd command prompt (reboot), when I go try to do "fastboot flash boot boot.img", it says it can't install boot.img.

The Xoom is in the command prompt screen, is in 'debugging' mode, and has been unlocked.

The 'SDK-tools' file is in the C drive and has the following:
    MZ604_HW169
    adb
    AdbWinApi.dll
    AdbWinUsbApi.dll
    ddms
    fastboot

    When I click on the first folder, MZ604-HW169, I get boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, and userdata.img.

When I click on boot.img, it says windows cannot open this file. I think this is my problem.

The default programs on my PC are all messed up. I downloaded the drivers from Motorola, but, when I click on them, Windows can't open them.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for all of the info so far!

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. You don't open any of the files you just fastboot them as they are.
