Can I print directly from my Motorola XOOM?

The Motorola XOOM currently does not have the ability to print with the standard Android software.

While we do not endorse or guarantee these solutions, or provide support for them, some owners have reported success using 3rd party Android Applications like "Printer share mobile".

You can search the Android Market for 3rd party applications that are available that will enable you to print from your Motorola XOOM.

PrinterShare's latest update now works on the Xoom. Note that the "Free" app is there only to allow printing of a test page to see if the paid version will work with your device and printer. The real app costs $9.99. This app is terrific. It prints Word docs, Excel, pdfs, images, Web Pages, etc. You can get a feeling for how the UI works with the free/test version. Printing can only be initiated inside the PrinterShare app...not from the source app.

Many of the reviews contain complaints that the "Free" version does nothing but print a test page. I can't understand the complaints since the purpose of the free version is clearly stated in the description.

How do you set up the cloud print on the xoom?

You don't set up anything on the xoom. you set it up in google chrome browser in the settings opttion at the bottom of one of the tabs. Make sure to set it up on the computer u want to print from and chrome has to stay running on your pc if I remember right. once that is done u just pull up whateever u wwant to print accessing ur gmail account from the browser NOT THE GMAIL APP as it is not supported at this time. From the email, document, image etc u want select print in ur gmail options and it will load cloud print magically!

OK, I thought there was so thing ele to do. I have all that set up to print from my cr-48 chrome netbook

I activated Google Cloud Print but see no option to actually Print from the Xoom browser, gMail or Google Maps apps . . .

can confirm Print Share works well . . .
