Unlocked bootloader in ICS
I've read some posts online that ICS will have an unlocked bootloader. Is this true? What will this imply as it pertains to rooting the ICS operating system? I've never rooted anything Android so I don't know what the benefit is. Huge change? Insignificant?

Never Fear the iOwl is Here
An Operating system doesn't have a bootloader. The device does. The operating system goes into the bootloader. Unlocking a bootloader is manufacturer/carrier specific. So some phones with ICS will have a locked bootloader while some will not. Hope that helped.
Nexus will be unlocked bootloader
Yes it will . Verizon dropped their signup page! And confimred exclusivity. For a short time anyways.
And I have adb all ready. As soon as I get it home it will be unlocked and ready to get some ROMs and Kernels!
Hell, I should get an unlock page ready for it to help the nubblets.
