Mouse Cursor Image / Size ?

Does anybody know if the mouse cursor image can be changed? I dont believe its located in the SystemUI file... Any idea where it may be or if it can be replaced by a larger/brighter .png file?
    Thanks in advance!

So far I have Googled this and not found any information regarding this anywhere, only other people asking the same thing. I even looked in the SystemUI myself and couldn't find anything. I'm sure it can be made larger/brighter if only someone can discover where it's hidden in there. I would really like to change it as well. Hope we don't have to wait til they someday, if ever, release the source code.

Its located in the framework-res.apk. Specifically res/drawable-mdpi/pointer_arrow.png. Since its an apk you can modify with 7zip and push the new framework with adb or use root explorer. Or metamorph.

Cool beans... thank you so much. I'll have to get right on that!

Update: Downloaded some mouse pointers, picked a good one, converted from .cur to .png, saved to Xoom and now it looks much better. Thanx again!

I would like to do the same, any chance of some idiot proof instructions.

My Xoom is on v3.2 but not rooted.

Well...too late. I wasnt thinking and deleted the original framework-res.apk before pushing the new edited version. Now I am stuck at boot loop and cant adb ("device not recognized"). HEEELLLLPPPP!

I do. That is what i have resorted to. Of course...it is a week and a half old I will advise. Lessons learned!
I was hoping for a better and quicker solution...
Still don't know why fastboot recognizes the device...but adb does not.
    thanks!

    UPDATE...
Was able to recover (albeit an old nandroid), and was able to adb once the machine was operational. I gave up on the root explorer method, and successfully did this with adb.

    Thanks!
