    Xoom vs. Xyboard

    Hey guys, It seems Motorola has released the "new improved" Xoom, called the Xyboard. I scanned through the specs and it doesn't seem to offer anything drastically different from the Xoom. Seem it is ICS ready, so maybe that's one advantage? I realize the Xoom will be upgradeable to ICS soon also, so that's not much of an advantage. What do you guys think?

    5mp cam both sides (xoom 2mp screen side, 5mp back), xyboard supports 1080p video playback, xoom 720p (native), xyboard has 48 day standby time (no 3g/4g/wifi) to the xooms 14 day standby time. and it weighs about 100 grams less than the xoom (xyboard=603, xoom=708g) and 4 mm thinner. seems like 1 improved camera and a better battery life is the only + to the xyboard. not worth it in my opinion. i'll stick with my xoom.

    and the xyboard does not have a gyroscope? what's up with that?

    The screens better as well. Probably for most who have the Xoom they would pass on this and wait for the Xoom 3. It is a nice tablet though IMO.

    If Xoom 3 has a locked bootlaoder I will be skipping it. Thats really the only thing that has given the first Gen Xoom legs. The option to load any of 5 ICS ROMs, and I would be willing to bet Gelly Bean, makes me skip most anything with a layer of Blur thats locked like fort knox.

    I must have missed those discussions on the Xyboard too. Though its been chaos here lately.
