    Hi, Falcon. The Xoom can read from that micro card, but cannot write TO the card, even using a file manager app. To copy files or pix to the card, either put the card in its adapter and then connect to your PC/laptop if you have a reader or slot, OR even better, you can connect the Xoom and PC with the provided USB cable (should have been with the Xoom), and then you can copy amongst the Xoom and SD card and PC in any direction, which I find is quicker then using the "take the card out" method.

    Look into the SDCardXD app, that allows writing to the SD card. If you are rooted, then you can gain full read/write access through file managers and custom ROMs.

    I'm running Team Eos ICS 1.0.0 rooted with busy box. I can't seem to get an external usb stick to read. Tried most of the apps on appstore, but I'm really getting stuck. I don't know which kernal I have used so would appreciate some guidance.

    Have you try StickMount?

    No that didn't work. I must have a dodgy cable. Only described as an adapter cable (from Hong Kong). Will get another off amazon.

    I can write to my SD card using the stock file manager without any problems at all.

    That is probably the issue. You need to get a host cable, or "On-The-Go" cable.
