    Question lost photos

hi, my zoom froze the other day and i did a soft reset now i have lost photos taken by the xoom, which were there afterwards, but a couple of days later are gone. I still have photos downloaded to xoom but not the ones taken by it, it has been off over a day and not charged. Switched on ok but just noticed photos missing, anyone had similar problem. Any way to get them back, have checked dcim file, it is empty.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Look for a folder call thumbnails and see if any of them are there. A soft reboot shouldn't have caused this, charge your xoom until the green charge light comes on and try another soft reboot.

The soft reboot shouldn't have affected them the first time. A soft reboot fixes a lot of minor annoyances.

if it is rooted, and the files were on the external card, then the app "undelete" might help

I don't see how a soft reset would work fine with the pictures still there and then a couple of days later they're gone...

You sure no one deleted them by mistake?

Have you tried looking at the DCIM folder whilst connected to your computer in a file browser, making sure that you view hidden files aswell?
