Help: Advice on the 4G upgrade

Hi, I'm still a sort of newbie here. I need your words of wisdom.
I'm sending in my Xoom for the 4G upgrade - last minute and hopefully all will go well.
Should I be concerned at all?
I have mostly games & apps with no data on it that I need or care about. Will they wipe the xoom?

I backed up the apps I care about, and that's about it.

should I remove my avg anti-virus?

Is the upgrade the best move? I do have 4g in my city. i need to make sure the 4g upgrade is worth it.
I'm a whole lotta scared! LOL

    any last minute advice?

    thanks!

they might wipe it not sure about that.if you have any privacy concerns.wipe it yourself before sending it.as far as the need to remove avg thats not necessary.

I'm wifi only but I'd do a factory data reset before sending it in.

    No nothing about 4G.

Any time sending any device to service center..etc.

Back up and then reset/clear data will be great.

We didnt know one of our privacy photo..etc will end up at internet

    Be safe then sorry

As far as I can tell I was one of the very first to get the upgrade. It went very smoothly and I got it back in just a few days. Best advice i can give you is to make sure to copy down the s/n, backup anything you don't want to lose in case they have to wipe it. REMOVE THE SD CARD!! they will not be responsible for the sd card if it were to be misplaced. And they don't need it to do the upgrade. When you get it back you should do a factory reset. There were many reports of that fixing a bunch of issues. ( I did and it was much smoother after). Good luck and it should be back to you in 3-5 days. Post back and let us know how it went for you!

they had multiple RMA' s on mine over shipping box errors, my unit got shelved/unprocessable. i had to jump through hoops to get mine upgraded/sent back to me

4g lte was worth it though.

I removed my sd card, deleted my mail accounts and My RoboForm and copied my photos and videos....I left all the apps alone. I sent it in on a Monday morning and had it back on Wed afternoon! Everything was still there and they even replaced my original Verizon screen protector with a new one! I was prepared to do a reinstall and complete setup but it came back the way it went in! It took about 15 minutes to reinstall my email, pics and video and start up the 4G...Overall simple and very quick! Go for it and the 4g blows Comcast out of the water! No worries!!

I had issues with my 4G upgrade. I got it back really quick but when I booted it up it got stuck on the Motorola boot screen. I probably could have gone in to recovery and reflashed but I decided to call motorola and had to RMA it again. I got it back only to find the sim card was missing. After talking to motorola they told me I should have removed the sim card but when I sent it in they told me to leave it in. Long story short I had to go to the local verizon store and have them put a sim card in. They did it for free and got it working. In total my xoom was out of commission for over 2 weeks. Now it was worth the 4G upgrade. I am getting ping times and speeds almost equivalent to my cable internet here at the house. I hardly use it since I am connected to a wifi hotspot most of the times and I only have the 1GB plan. It is good in a pinch though or when I am in the car. I will warn you that with the speeds you get you could get carried away and go over your data limit.

I sent in my Xoom. I think I screwed myself though, I forgot to remove the micro sd card.
But I didn't keep anything important on it. Just games that I can reload and it was 16GB card, I think those a cheap..... but here's hoping anyway.
