Using 3g UK Xoom in Mexico

Hi all,

I will be staying in Mexico for 2 weeks from Friday.
What is the best option for using mobile internet. The resort has wifi at 25 USD per day! I think I will avoid that.

I think my UK sim will be too expensive due to roaming charges. Can anyone suggest an alternative?

pick 2 days out of your trip to get connected. before you go load up on books and some movies to take with you. make sure to try a movie while not connected so that you won't find out that it doesn't work for some reason after you get there. I am such a nut about being connected that it took me a couple of days to get over it on a cruise ship but you will find that you will enjoy your vacation much more without the internet LOL. And those 2 days that you picked to connect will be great for sending pics and catching up with people back home. have fun!

Im pretty sure you won't be able to use your UK sim anyway, I can't use mine when abroad. What I do is to go to a local phone shop (find out who the main provider/providers are before you go) and buy a mobile data sim, it will work after creating a new apn. Not saying it will be inexpensive though so I would follow bigdave's advice and load up the entertainment before you go and resist the urge to connect to facebook
