[Q] Not connecting to computer?

I posted this on XDA but haven't found a solution yet. Can someone please help me!

Xoom is not connecting to my computer what so ever.

I am using EOS IMM760 Nightly 93 (70def09)
Android version: 4.0.4
Xoom Wifi Only

MTP Device Failed
I installed motorollas 5.5.0 Driver and I just cannot connect and transfer my movie to my Xoom......................

Xoom does NOT show up via My Computer.
I am stumped.

Can someone help me please!!!

MZ604 Searching preconfigured driver folders...

If I go to developer options & un-check USB debugging while it is connecting via USB I can hear the ding on my laptop, when I check it, I can hear the ding on my laptop. It will then proceed to the above MZ604 and MTP description via Laptop.

Use USBDeview to delete all of your Xoom drivers, reinstall the drivers, reboot your PC and the Xoom and see if it's recognized.

Still having problems, I've read multiple fixes and have done every single one of them, ever since I updated the Rom to the latest version via goo-inside.me it has not been able to connect. Obviously something to do with the Rom I am assuming. Going to try one more thing before I install a new Rom and hope it works. May even go as far as installing XP on my Vista Laptop. Tired of Vista anyways

I have been checking this thread multiple times an hour so any help is much appreciated.

Hoping to find someone that has had this exact same problem in the past and has resolved it themselves.

Give this a try...hope it solve.

- Unplug your Xoom.
- Uninstall all the Moto drivers.
- Download and run this cleaner for your PC:here
- Once done, restart your PC.
- Install Window Media Player 11 in your PC, if you haven't.
- Reinstall your Moto drivers.
- enable your Xoom USB debugging.
- Connect your Xoom to the PC( Use USB port from Motherboard, usually located at the back of your PC)
- try it.

Thanks for the advice, but it still has NOT worked after I have tried about 10-15 guides, cleaned my computer multiple times. I'm just done.

Try to use rom that ever recognise before. If still didnt recognise..sound like something not right with the cable.

i have the same issue my vista laptop connects to the xoom fine but the vista desktop will not connect properly to the xoom.

it does beep when i turn usb debugging off like its going to connect but nothing happens and when i select usb debugging says samething MTP device failed.

i have never been able to get the desktop to work with my xoom and i tried when it was stock so its not the rom.

when i type adb devices in the comand prompt it shows the xoom's alphanumeric string.

MTP device is the only driver that fails and i tried everything with the motohelper

Well I guess I found someone with the same problem, lol, but not a damn fix! Its my only computer I have, well un-other than my 2 old school Toshiba's that are slower than a snail. I've used this computer with earlier releases of this Rom, that's the only thing stuck inside my head. Its a HP Pavilion dv6000. Thanks guys!
