    Tablet and Smartphone

So I have some questions. My husband and I both have smartphones (Droid X). I run K9 mail and he runs an exchange mail. We just got a tablet (Xoom). We used my email to do the initial setup. Here is where the problem is. I don't want my email on the XOOM, only on my phone. I love my husband, but I believe everyone needs a bit of privacy in their lives, but we don't want a brand new email for the "family" to do purchases. What would you all recommend? Should we just create a new family email to keep things private for both of us? Is there a way to use my email for the google play, but not to have my actual email on the device? Thanks for any feedback! Pamela

Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us. Go to menu>settings>applications>manage>all>k-9>clear the cache and data and reboot the Xoom. Press and hold the power button and the volume up button together until the Xoom starts to reboot, then release them both.

Thanks for the welcome! I am not having a problem with K9. I am having a problem with what the best option is. As I posted, we just got our Xoom and we are using stock email. I just want my mail on my phone, not on the tablet. Should we create a new email for the tablet or is there a way to have the account (my email) on the phone, without having everyone in the family able to access my personal email?

Clear the data and cache on the stock email app and then you can set one up anyway you want.

Settings accounts and sync, click the account you want to edit. It should bring a list up and from there you can choose what syncs for that account.

Its easy enough to turn back on so I know the privacy concern would still be there.

I am not married but I would hope there shouldn't be anything to hide from one another.
