If you were to get a tablet today ... or soon ...

Don't want to start an argument but just wondering ... if you were to get a tablet today ... or soon .. what would you get. I have the need to get a new tablet and don't want to be held back by the hw/sw/manufacturer.

I still think the OG Xoom is relevant and has a great developer community but this Samsung is interesting.

Maybe you have a very very bad experience on Asus? Do you mind sharing your experience..it maybe subjective.

Yes, Yes I do! I had a zenbook and when I got it within a month the harddrive was shot! So we go through arguments and they agree to let me send it in for repair! I contacted them 20+ times and never got it back! I filed a report with the BBB and finally got my money back not including tax! My TFP........ Horrible Wi-Fi and GPS the camera lens also had a scratch but I didn't care about the camera! A month or 2 later the charging port te one on the device fell out of position so I contact support 5 times and never once got a response! So, I again file a claim with the BBB and they attempt to contact them and to date have not heard back me and the BBB are still working on this and they have now put out an alert and are into further investigation! Luckily BB was willing to take it back.........

My latest tab is Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Rooted stock No custom rom. Minor tweak and good to go running HC 3.2.

Light, slim, good battery life..etc with no regret.
