Thanks

Thanks, I have done that. However, I don't want the user to be able to tyope in any other web addresses or change any browser settings. How would i implement those restrictions?
You could try making the address of the proxy server in your internet settings the address of the website you wish to allow. That should, in theory stop it going anywhere else, but it wouldn't stop them altering the settings
Alternatively on a rooted device you could use your hosts file. If you put a line with the IP address of the site you wished to allow access to, followed by it's URL, and then followed that with some wildcard entries with junk IP addresses, that should work.
The wildcard entries would look something like this:
0.0.0.0 .com
0.0.0.0 .net
0.0.0.0 .org
etc
I'm not sure how you could stop them altering the hosts file though.

You could lock the browser from starting with a password required to use it with an app. I don't know about forcing to a single page though.
4johnny For your requirements, there's a lock down browser for Android to do exactly the same. You can check it here SureFox for Android | Run Mobile Browser in lockdown and fullscreen mode . I found this when I was searching for a kiosk browser. Hope you find it useful.. Cheers!!![]()

Are you trying to make your browser look like a regular web page?
If so, I would like the answer to that. My browser now is big and blue
and cheap looking, like facebook is totally diffeent. I didn't know
where to post my question & yours looked close to my problem.
Thanks...
