    Charger Alert

    hey guys, it was bad enough when i got this error if i used another charger, but, now, even when i plug in the charger that came with the tablet, i get the ,"the connected charger is not optimized for this tablet" error.

    i have original motorola charger(s) and cables ... but, somehow .. they aren't the one the tablet is looking for. Any Ideas? ???

    btw, do any of you have any idea as to how much better/faster an optimized charger charges?

    sounds like the tablet has a problem.ive had my xoom since they first came out.ive never had a charger issue.never even heard of this issue before.the only charger issue ive previously heard of.there was a few folks complaining about chargers overheating bad.is your xoom even charging?on average how long does it take to charge?

    Welcome to the forum. Glad you decided to join us.
    It could be the charger, this is a known issue with the OG Xoom. If you still have warranty, contact Motorola Support as they've replaced numerous chergers.

    so this is just the same bad charger issue.i didnt know you actually had an alert on the screen.

    There has been a few with messages but for the most part the charger just won't charge.

    Hi I'm new to the forum, I have a xoom 2 mz615-12 and has trouble loading, after provar with different chargers I realized that the problem is in and charging port (usb flex) I started to search for the parts but eh not been able to find the piece indicated, I believe that the MZ617 is compatible, anyone with any idea where I can encontrarla.muchas thanks! by the way I'm using google transalte because actually speak english lol

    Google translate did you no favor here. As I understand it you need a part for your Xoom.

    I have a broken Xoom I've searched for parts, I've found it easiest to Google what I need
    Then look at the images till I find what I'm looking for.

    Might find the Xoom Teardown of use to find the part name

    I translated this to Spanish then back to English it seems to make sense after all that.
