Need a little advice from you more "experinced" Xoom/Droid users.

I've been looking long and hard at this and other devices. I have never owned anything on the android platform so I'm learning as fast as I can.
I spent a LOOONG time messing with a couple Xooms on display. Thankfully all the cattle was busy mooing over the IPad so I could really dig into the Xoom. My main reason for this thing will be multitasking a couple PDF's and pictures I have taken of book pages. I could not find a way to quickly jump between PDF files, nor could I find a way to make picture galleries to organize different books that I have taken pictures of. Also, is there a quick way to jump between those pictures and the PDF's? I am an engineering student and I want this to remove the books from my life.

Do you guys know of tricks, shortcuts, apps, and ways to create organized galleries?

    Thanks!

If any mods feel like this should have been in help section go ahead and move it... I'm trying to justify to myself that is belongs in this section at hopes of a quick, helpful reply.

You can select the "recently opened" icon and easily switch between the last five apps that were opened - find out what your stores return policy is and give it a good test run, it's easier to get a feel if it's really for you with a little bit of ownership time, and we're always here for questions

    This.

Especially if you get Quickoffice Pro, you can go between any of 6 apps with a click of the multitasking button in the bottom left.

Thank you very much for the quick reply, I think I will be buying from Best Buy which I believe is 30 day return policy. The recently opened button is at the bottom left and brings up the last open apps on the left side of the page correct? I actually tried multitasking 2 different PDF apps and switching back and forth using that feature, however, the apps would disappear and be replaced by others. Even after killing all the apps that were running and trying again. Honestly I really want to try to wait to see what Asus comes up with, but I just returned my smart phone yesterday and I'm having pretty intense technophile withdrawals. I'll probably go to Best Buy when I wake up and hope there is one there.

No not true. You have to use a file manager app like astro to do it though. Easily done.

Sweet, you guys are great... I'm actually beginning to feel much better about getting one now, moto should pay for this sites server cost. The last thing that had me concerned was moto doesn't seem to have the best record for updates. You guys think that should be a concerned?

Another option for documents is Docs2Go, which has both a paid and a free version and direct access to Google Documents in the app. I've never use QuickOffice don't know what kind of options it has, since alot of people use it I'm sure it's a solid app.

It's a pure Google device, this thing was made to be updated

...and for the record, as a day one D1 owner, Moto is number one in updates -

Considering it's a Google Experience device, I'm not too worried. Motorola is pretty good about updates, so with Google pushing them there should be no problem.
