I've been running AVG free on my Xoom since I got it three weeks ago. It seemed to do ok but I'm giving Avast a try now.Seems to be very thorough.

I run avast on both my PC and Xoom. It does its job and stays out of your way.

This is what Avast found on mine.

It's much much better than it looks.

These are permitted. Or are they?

I was looking at their Q&A section and this is how they describe uninstalling.

MoxieMarlinspike[Admin]May5,2011 WhisperSystems does not provide an uninstall feature at this time. However, you can manually uninstall WhisperCore by flashing your original system images onto the device. While Whisper Systems cannot provide support for this process, instructions for performing the procedure are available elsewhere on the internet.
