    Xoom to USA

    I am going to the usa next week.if i take my xoom will it work ok.
    i am worried it might try to install things i dont want.Thanks.Greyhound

    The only possible issue I can imagine is if you have 3g, the carrier may switch/not work/charge you insane amounts.

    It will work but only on 2G. Plus as alexn said the costs are high, very high. Better to get a hire tablet or phone

    If you have the WiFi version you have nothing to worry about at all.

    It wouldnt matter whether it was wifi or 3g I would take it for sure. Since you have the wifi only you have nothing to worry about. There are tons of free wifi available here in the USA. And nothing weird should try to download to it, assuming you mean like the wrong OS? It doesnt matter where you are in the world, your xoom always shows up with what it has loaded sso if an update out for the US version yours wont get it (assuming you have a xoom from somewhere else). Like anywhere you travel just be sure to keep it locked up when you dont have it with you.

    yes a tablet always come in handy when you travel , free wifi at hotels.

    I recommend you take it. Lots of free wi-fi here, let alone your built-in apps which won't rely on any connection
