    Gps and Navionics for Motorola XOOM 2

    Hello, i am a skipper i navigate in Med and Caribbean. I have an importante question:

    This tablet model Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition 8.2" 15 gb wifi, have a good GPS antenna and will work demurring sailing with the App Navionics ? It is very important for me to know exactly if it will work.

    I would like to take the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition 8.2" 15 gb wifi
    i do not know if it will work with internal GPS and with out the 3g working. I will use the tablet out at sea and no wifi or 3g is possible. The APPLICATION i will use is the NAVIONICS that i will take from Google Play of Android.

    Have you contacted the app developers & asked those questions? I suspect part of why nobody has answered directly is none of us have used that specific app.

    I can say that on my OG Wifi Xoom I can run CoPilot just fine--that is why I purchased it. It just uses locally-downloaded maps & GPS top navigate. I would expect Navionics to work just as well.

    Navionics will work ok 90%. BUT I AM NOT SURE that the GPS of the Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition 8.2" 15 gb wifi works normally with out the 3g or wifi. To you know for sure about this last problem?

    I REPEAT: i need to have the Motorola working with no signal of 3g and wifi, the GPS must work alone, do you know about this???

    No need to get upset.

    Have you tried to test it by enabling airplane mode, having WiFi turned off and GPS localization checked?
