Lightbulb That pesky charger plug (And my way around it)

I have been using a Kensington Bluetooth keyboard case with my Xoom, and the annoying part is that when the tablet needs to be recharged, I have to either lay it horizontal or remove it from the case to plug the charger (as y'all already know, d'oh)

Well, I thought that a 90 degree plug would help, but it can't be done with the plug, so I used the little metal plates and a dock to accomplish this.
I am attaching the pictures and what I did was:

Cut out the dock's connector base (dock was $14 in Ebay with shipping included) with a roto zip, then sanded the edges, cut the USB cable leaving the connector in place.
Solder the red/black power cables to the base of the pins so I can route them to the right, instead of the back.
Make a hole for the micro HDMI connector, first make a "pilot" hole, then plug the base with the USB on the Xoom to find where to complete the hole.

Plug it back with USB and HDMI connectors in place: That was the reason to use the HDMI connector, the USB alone was not strong enough to keep it in place
Use epoxy putty to seal the bottom of the new charger plug, and use shrinking tube to cover the exposed part of the charger's tip just for added safety.

Check the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.
