if verizon ever gets off their a** and decides to release the update!
everyone seems to be of the opinion that they are merely milking this till the holiday season to generate sales... ya think?
never again will i own anything that relies on their (verizon) timeliness and long term concern for customers.
is this another case of a monopoly that needs to be reckoned with?
I'm not very excited about Google trying to turn my tablet into a giant phone. If the released pics of this running on a ten inch tablet in phone mode are representative, then I won't be upgrading.
Wonder if the US Xoom WiFi will receive the 4.2.x update?

I'm more interested in the Nexus 4 , 299$ for 8gb.
Looks like some interesting ideas.

Monopoly? You're dreaming bud. ALL phone service providers have "customized" whatever version of Android they're using. You want to talk monopoly, how about Apple and the iPad/phone/pod/touch..whatever. Can you get an IOS device from anyone but Apple for the original device, hardware and software.

A monopoly is an organization providing a product or service with no competition. By no stretch of the imagination can that be said of Verizon, or Apple. If you want a mobile device, you have several choices of manufacturer and of service provider. That's what choice and competition is about.
