multiple touches to get a link to work after jelly bean, ugggg any one help?

I've been battling this issue since the first day I got the first jelly bean upgrade. Been so frustrated and they didn't fix with most recent release. Basically when you try and touch a link, lets say a Google search link, nothing happens. Can tap away many times and finally after sometimes 2 taps or 20 it will work. Sometimes I gesture screen bigger and then smaller to try and make it change then sometimes works. Heck took me over 2 minutes to get the link to the general discussion forums here to work. I've wanted to grow my xoom in the pool a few times now as very frustrating when you just want information and pain in butt to get the link to respond. Never had issue pre-jelly bean. Anyone else have? Anyone else find a fix? Any help is appreciated folks. SignedFrustrated in florida

I have noticed some lag when a page is first opened and you try to touch a link but it usually only lasts a few seconds and then works normally. I usually scroll the page up or down a bit and its ok.
What browser do you use, have you cleared cache and are you stock or rooted?

Stock not rooted but happens on other browsers as well and only since jelly bean upgrade as well. Sometimes will go on first tap but more often than not takes a few taps or have to wait and keep trying. Just really frustrating. Eventually works but before no lag worked everytime you touched a link.

I have not seen this issue other than when the page is still building. That is, the blue progress line at the top is still visible. Once the page is complete, the progress bar is gone, links work fine.

thats about what i see but sometimes its a couple of seconds longer. Wonder if the op has cleared cache? That usually fixes mine

OK. We are on to something. Yes seems like it is when the progress bar is still blue and in progress. Problem is page appears fully loaded and can stay on progress bar for quite some time hence why can't tap links. Any settings to allow usage while page is loading or have faster completion of progress bar? Again never noticed any issue until jelly bean. Started after first load of jelly bean.

OK. Paying closer attention and has same issue when page is fully loaded and no progress bar is shown. It is intermittent as to how many taps or how long Before it recognizes the touch of a link. Sometimes non issue at all, most times some delay.

Mine has done the same thing. There is also a lag at times after bringing up the keyboard - I'll start to type and nothing happens, then suddenly two or three letters will appear and it will be fine. It's a very annoying lag. I will also hold on a link, select "open in new tab" and nothing happens. I sometimes have to do this three or more times before the new tab will open. Only happens since JB.
