FLASH Question

Hey all,

I've got the latest Flash for Android installed... but most of the flash sites I visit don't seem to work -- get "you need flash to play this" messages and "can't play video" messages all over the place. HBO.com for example -- I get "HBO.com is now a flash site. Your device does not suport Flash..."

Is there some trick I'm not using? Color me confused... thanks for any tips.

According to adobe flash is a beta. This Friday we should get a update that fixes the bugs in flash for honeycomb.

If no update is forthcoming I hope. Adobe will let us know the reason.

Thanks Tom -- just found a story about this that made me think the "beta" nature of flash for Honeycomb may be the issue... guess we'll find out in a week -- fingers crossed!

If you set your ua string of the browser to desktop HBO.com comes up fine in flash

How do you do that?

type "about:debug" in the browser address
hit go
tap settings menu in upper right hand corner
go to settings
go to Debug
go to UAString
hit desktop

and you are all set to be in desktop mode. Hope this helps.

Where did you guys see news on an upcoming update for flash? I haven't seen anything about that yet, link please.
