    Sonic, you should be able to create a seperate partition on your drive. Then make one FAT 32 and you won't need the app to get it to read from it. I use Root Explorer or Antek and its found as soon as its plugged in.

    The paid version of ntfs helper auto mounts drive when its plugged in & that's good enough for me, as the passport is used for other things ie: my media server connected to the TV and partitioning fat32 isn't economical enough for a large sized drive. Especially when my movies folder is 600gig music is 22gig
    Besides purchasing ntsf helper and signing the petition aids the cause for ntsf support in native android
