Warranty length for verizon customers if interested

The warranty for those that go with Verizon Xoom is one (1) yr and you can extend that to two (2) years for $1.99 each month. Important to me, since its a new product and I wanted some peace of mind.

Of course we have to remember its $2 per month or about $24 per yr which is a very good price for that extra yr.... Unknown what BestBuy has for their warranty.

Yes you can buy from the website but, I did not see anything on the Verizon website that gave this option for the extended warranty, just one yr that I saw, but you can call first, then if you want to, start the purchase on the website before the final click of the buy button to see if they do offer one. Anyone else know ??

Best Buy wanted $420 for a 3 year warranty. A one year warranty was like $110 I believe. And then the buy back program was $70 and within 6 months they would buy the Xoom back for $400 if I remember correctly.

$800 + taxes, etc.+ $70 for buy back for less than 6 months of use and then get $400 back? That's a heck of a rental fee!

I went with the 1 yr Accidental damage protection with BB. It was 129.00. (10.00/mo) But it will be replaced for whatever reason, dropped, water damaged, wall damage (drywall that is) haha. I need to re-read the Black Tie Protection plan but from my understanding accidental damage is accidental damage...

No theft coverage......... They also said water damage, but I do think being submerge in water does not count as water damage. Read the fine print, and don't trust what the sales person tells you.

Extended warranties are best buys major profit bread and butter. If you don't take care of your device then it will be handy for that first year. But seriously who isn't going to treat this device like its their baby.
