Soft Reset an iffy thing or reliable?

I have used the Soft Reset with success. That is the Power Button and Up Volume at the same time. My question is this. Is it chancing losing something or data that might not return? Does it hurt to do a soft reset often? Say daily or several times a week? I believe it clears out more than just turning on and off.

    Thanks much! Jack ":-Dx

I've done several soft-resets. They don't seem to hurt or change anything that I can see. But each tablet is different depending on what we have done to modify it. I've kept mine pretty factory except for the updates, etc.

A soft reset will not hurt anything at all, in fact it is a good thing. A hard reset will do away with your data and bring your device back to a factory state.
