I do lots of presentations to groups. Would love to leave the laptop behind. Anyone have a setup that can do this. How about Bluetooth to a projector... I would love to walk around a room with this and change slides in the projector.

Idk how you would do this. You would have to link up the projector and the Xoom, possibly through bluetooth. Maybe some sort of cable? idk.
I am sure that in hdmi cable would work

I was going to post the same question, so maybe someone in here can help us all.
It looks like you made the connection on your projector but no image shows up?
My company has to small dlp projectors. Both do not have blue tooth or an HDMI port. They have and Svideo and a standard computer port. I was wondering if I could buy an Svideo to HDMI converter and get it to work.
I know they have some projectors out now with bluetooth and HDMI built in but I would rather not buy another projector if there is a cheaper solution.
You'd be better off with a VGA->HDMI but convertors are A)Pricey, bulky, and halfway decent or B) Cheap crap. Either way my experience has been you won't be happy with either the effort involved and/or the quality. And they are made for PC's/set top displays, so it's unknown how well or if they'd work with the Xoom. HDMI is a pretty loose "standard" all things considered.
The best tablet mirroring available right now is on a Jailbroken iPad with DisplayOut ($2.99 on Cydia), works with the apple VGA or hdmi adapter as well as many 3rd party ones. Works really well - I use it all the time for demos of my mobile apps. For the Xoom you are pretty much stuck with getting a projector that supports HDMI.
There are no BT solutions - BT doesn't have nearly enough bandwidth. Closest I have seen for untethered video is a hack someone did, again for the iPad, which involves taking a wireless hdmi transmitter out of it's box, fitting it in a custom case with a small battery, and slapping that on the back of the iPadMakes the iPad twice as heavy and those transmitters are like $300 which is an awful lot considering you have to basically destroy one of them to get it to work. If you really, really want wireless tablet transmitting that would be the way to go (and I imagine it would work for the Xoom equally well) but seems like a bit much to me. And of course you'll still need an HDMI projector.
