Just thought I'd introduce myself and say that this is by far the best xoom forum i've come across. People here seem to help eachother out a lot. Anyways, my birthday is next week so sometime after that I will be getting the Wifi only version. Very excited about it and I cannot wait.

thanks guys, very excited and I have learned a lot already although I have some quick questions.
First question - Xoom has flash now right? I know it didnt at launch but I seem to see people say they do and dont maybe im looking at outdated information.

Second question - Can i drag movies from my computer onto my xoom? What type of movie files does the xoom play? I see people are putting blurays on their xooms, anybody has done this and can explain how it looks and how it was done?

The flash update has been released now and the Xoom will play a variety of formats if you pick up an app from thr store. I hear rocplayer is nice. I personally use mp4s with the stock video player. Look into getting DVD Catalyst to convert your movies. The vendor of the app is a member of this forum and provides top notch support. Check out the vendor section of this forum.

I second this recommendation if you plan to use the Xoom for video. It is a pretty solid transcoding app with settings tailored to the Xoom specifically and it is pretty inexpensive besides. It also has profiles for many other devices if for some reason you want to transcode your video to play well on those other devices. There is a demo that will transcode the first 25% of your files so you can see how it works with different sources before you buy.
