When will the xoom updates come? its been a long time!
I wonder what could be keeping Motorola and Google from giveing us NON rooted xoom owners the updates we sorely need to make the xoom work fully?. The SD card slot would sure be of help!. I just cant see whats so hard about updateing the software so everything promissed is working.

I am also stumped by the lack of support that Moto & Google have shown the Xoom, it is a flagship for both of these high profile companies and yet they seem not to be standing by this product. I have owned it since launch and have vigorously defended my loyalty to Android, where is some loyalty to us? I mean one would have thought that with the negative ratings and the analysis bashing that this product has received these two giant fortune 500 companies would have steped up to the plate by now and gaven us at least a date or something. Some sort of acknowledgment would be rather comforting at this point in the game! I mean don't get me wrong I by no means am I feeling regretful about my choice in getting the Xoom. It fits almost all of my computing needs. It just at times feels empty, not cause of its functions not being fully functional but rather because of the little support that it has gotten from its parent companies. Of course we all know that this will change but in the mean time we are a forum, and these types of discussions can't be had with others that don't understand and are quick to point out that I might have mad a bad judgment in getting this tablet. I still stand by my Xoom!
On another note, could it be that OPEN source is in part to blame? This year has been the year of unfinished products. Its almost as if these companies rely on the dev community to finish what they started. I mean the reason that we buy open source is to tailor it to our specs anyway. If so that would be unacceptable but the way this whole unfinished trend has taken off this is a theory that can be taken for what one might welcome it with. Anyway I'm done with my rant if you may! And will end with how much I love my Xoom, how much this forum is a big part of my Xoom experience and remind everyone that with the Xoom being a full on Google experience tablet, we will see better days:-)
I enjoy my freedom, Android FTW!

I'm still in the camp that the updates are hinging on the release of the other tablets. There aren't any updates that are keeping me from using my Xoom so I wait patiently.
