    Connecting a thumb drive to usb

    With the Droid X is was shown that an adapter was needed in order to get the USB port to potentially accept a thumbdrive. Then a driver needed to be made. Not sure if anyone did it. The adapter needs to be built, nothing for sale out there.

    Does anyone know if the Xoom can accept a thumbdrive without an adapter that wires things differently? Anyone writing a thumbdrive app?

    Somewhere there is a thread here talking about it and a thread on the moto support forums where a dev said its possible and would need a software update and cable....so same situation. But it sounds more like it could/would happen in the future for the Xoom.

    Thankyou for the info. Visited those forums and that link. Seems we will be able to buy a micro usb OTG cable from Motorola or elsewhere. I'd prefer
    an adapter over a cable, but at least it is a very short cable. And they need to do a software upgrade to support it.
