Voice search problem

I noticed something....

When there is no internet connection , the google voice search which is exist on the top left of home screen...will not work.. it keeps a message saying " connection problem"


Ok , I can't understand that why I can't give a voice commands if the Internet is off.?!!!!


any body face the same issue?

Because the voice search feature is not locally stored. It polls the internet. You would think that eventually this would be done locally as well. At least some commands.

This is very sad .... I thought I can set the alarm or search for contact when I'm offline.
