When on WiFi 3G is automatically shut off - so no worries![]()
You can Iistall netcounter to track your data usage.
Like they said. When wifi on, 3g turns off. Because of that and I am usually around wifi area, I only average under. 8gb per month 3g so far

If you go into Settings, Mobile Networks, and uncheck Data enabled, no data will be allowed across the Verizon network. I also use Data counter widget to track data used and can set the periods it tracks to coincide with my plan.
If you are on wifi but the display is put to sleep or goes to sleep it reverts back to 3G data unless you toggle that option to keep wifi active while sleeping. This uses more battery but insures that you don't use 3G data when you don't expect it. Also cycle through your settings to make sure you know which apps are allowed to update automatically in the background and the same goes for widgets. Widgets can use a lot of battery power & data when you don't expect them to if they are allowed to update any time.
