Thumbs up Xoom got a scratch

I just noticed a scratch in the lower right of my xoom. Is the Corning Gorilla glass not unscratchable? I thought it was. And the scratch was just from some plastic! Bah.

Is it an actual scratch or just a scuff that you can take out with some buffing? Gorilla glass isn't imposable to scratch, just difficult to do so

The very reason to invest in a screen protector. An added layer of protection can make all the difference in the world.

Hate plastic scuffs. Have lost a few CD/DVDs that way and it annoys the bejeebus out of me to have to buff that out like churning butter!!

Recently scratched my cellphone which had gorilla glass. Didn't take much either... just a small piece of sand/grit on the surface as I was wiping of a smudge.

Now am a bit paranoid but more cautious. Still no screen protector on the Xoom though and haven't found something locally either.

I guess I'm paranoid. My baby had a screen protector and case on her before leaving the parking lot of verizion.

Body armor on mine. It does take a slight bit away from the feel on the touch screen but you get used to it.

Got a screen protector for xoom...Got one piece for 14 which I think is costly. For my X10, I keep chaning the screen protector once every 2 months as it accumulates lot of scratches. The Xoom's screen protector hasnt accumulated lot of scratches, I think its because of the portfolio case.
btw the plastic portion in the top right of the portfolio case is annoying. It needs to be pulled to the top a little bit for closing. If not it lands right on the screen.Sometimes i worry the screen would be damaged as it is a hard plastic,

I'm very particular about my devices that way. My Nexus One is almost 1 1/2 years old and not a scratch or scuff anywhere. Haven't ever used screen protection but have a Seido combo with case and holster.
