That is pretty vague. 10 to 1 it gets reversed. Touchscreens were out before Apple launched the iPhone. They just perfected it first.

Yea, but that would make it even worse because then that means that they were able to convince the patent office that it was their idea or that they should be given the patent because they made it better.

It's trivial though, people don't buy iPads or iPhones because they prefer the touchscreen, they buy them because of image and the O/S.
I don't see what Apple are trying to achieve here other than trying to milk money from competitors.
Apple = evil.

I think this just shows they are where they are today through intimidation of smaller or companies that are competing against them. The are the 2010-ish version of Microsoft in the 90's. I think more precisely they perfected their version of the interface with the touchscreen. And I think that would be software, not hardware. Originally Posted by Ollie

if any one remembers bb storm1 the reason they went with click screen was that Apple would go after them if they used a touch screen pinch to zoom fast scrolling etc.
