I activated data last week after buying the xoom full price at BBY. I plan to call verizon to fight the activation fee because the verizon guy didn't say anything about that. I was already pissed that they had to pull my credit even for a month to month data plan

VZ is usually pretty good about things. I give them enough GD $$$ every month they should throw me a bone every now and again.

They waved it for me in the store w/ out me even asking them to. I guess because I have a work Black Berry, Fios internet, Droid 1 cell, it would kinda be a dick move for them to charge me...

The activation fee was never mentioned and not included when I purchased my Xoom at the Verizon store.

Still haven't activated mine for 3G, just been using the WiFi. Will try this when I activate 4G.

I bought mine on the first day.. Just called Verizon today... It was no problem although I had to call back when a girl at V hung up on me when I ask for a supervisor.. She was giving me the run around and said I should have known there was an activation fee.. So if you get that run around call them back.. The guy I talked to was very nice and waived it right off.. Thanks for the replies..

It was posted that the fee was being removed, if you got charged then a phone call should be made...they will take the cost off of your next bill
