    Question The battery

OK I have a serious question. Do you wait until the battery is very low to put it on the charger or when you are near the charger do you keep it plugged in? Is it better for the battery to only charge it when it is low or charging mid level bad for it?

I keep hearing that it is better to wait until its really low to put it on the charger...is that true? does it really matter?
I keep it plugged in when I am using it if I am near the charger..is that bad for it?

Is there a right or wrong answer to this?

Sorry i know its a wierd question i guess but I hear so many different things I just want to get some clarificiation...I dont want to ruin this battery or anything like that by putting it on and off the charger throughout the day.

I have heard arguments for both sides. I personally use it all day and then charge it at night when I go to bed.

First few charges I'll let it get below 5% after that I'll just plug it in if it's below 50% and I'm using it.

I do this with all my devices, works good

I think with the older batteries you had to run them down close to empty because if you kept charging them half full they had a memory and you lost some of your battery. I don't think these newer Lithium Ion batteries have the memory issues the older batteries had.

I have a similar question. Is it ok to leave the charger plugged in and connected to the Xoom all the time even when fully charged so as to not run down the battery when it's taken on the road.

That's what I do. When I first unboxed it I let it die completely. Afterwards if I am not using it I plug it in and have great battery life so leaving it attached to the wallcharger hasn't made a difference.
