Xoom network connections are always unstable.
Both wifi and 3G connection are always unstable, browsing, youtube and market app. stop loading suddenly for no reason.
Sometimes the browser loads about 10 present of the loading bar and hang for few second and then continue loading, and sometimes it does not load after the 10 percent loading.
I had the same issue with my first xoom which i send it back to the agent and they replaced it for me with a new one, the new xoom unfortunately has the same issue (it seems a software issue not a hardware because it happens with the wifi and 3G, and also i do not think that both tablets i got having the same problem).
This happens about 5 to 8 times per about 5 hours using.
Default android was 3.0 and updated recently to 3.1
After searching and googling i saw some cases like mine.

Not sure but I may have the same problem. Some time to time wifi stops send/receive process untill I turn off the wifi and turn back on on my XOOM. I said not sure because I keep using the same wifi points only which I am not sure if they are performing better for another wifi device or not. (some times I connect a laptop and rarely I am having connection problems as well).
I need to test this with another wifi spot when I'll have time.
Sure I will follow this topic.
android market connection
I was having connection problems last week and my Talk program was not connecting. They suggested I do a reset to factory settings and that worked. Now my Talk is connected but when I call up the Market I still get a "no connection" message. Through all of this, I have continued to be able use my wifi connection. I do not have 3G on my Xoom. Any thoughts on what I should do to get my Market connection back? Do I need to do ANOTHER factory reset?
Don't blame the Xoom, you will find your problem in your Wifi Router, if you have the problem while you are using 3G then its the 3G signal is the problem not the Xoom
I have read about/experienced issues related to wifi as well. Routers, depending on your settings and the router itself, can cause problems. Especially the security settings. Hopefully somebody more knowledgeable can comment I'll post additional info.

I've been getting killed with what I thought was data speed throttling, which turned out to be a much needed reset of my modem and router, then found more than 14 drivers that were long over due for updating on my laptop.
Either way, my xoom , laptop, and GFs pc are all back to running @ 17m/s up and 5m/s down through wifi.

Welcome to the forum.Glad you decided to join us. Something you can try, go to menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all>market>clear the data and cache> if it says uninstall update do that too. Power down your Xoom and restart it to see if that helps.

I've always had this issue since the day I bought my xoom, but it only happens on my home wifi. I've tried changing my router channel settings loads of times but have never found a solution. I just have to switch the xooms wifi off and on again whenever it happens (it helps to have this option as a widget to speed up the process).

if its not the Xoom then why is it that only a factory reset solves the problem? i've reset my router, restarted the Xoom and tried everything else suggested. im ready to sell this and move to the iPad.
