Ad blocker for stock Browser?

    Ad blocker for stock Browser?

    Is there an ad blocker for the stock browser? I have 1 gig of data w/verizon & dont really like wasting it on ads...

    Im not rooted... says for rooted phones only

    any solutions for us non-rooted people (besides rooting lol)

    Being rooted is probably your best bet.
    Then, you really don't need to download an app. Just dl the host file, rename it and place it in the right folder (I believe it's the "local" or something). Works great for me. I can look it up, as I got the instructions over at XDA when none of the apps worked for me.

    Edit: Here's the thread. Check out post #13. Really though, rooting will not only solve that problem, but open up a whole other set of options you won't have running stock.

    yep, rootin and blockin!

    if you do root and get Android Overclock, there is an adblock extra within the app.
