[How To] Return To Stock (Wifi-Only HW169)

***Use to restore USA Wifi-Only system and boot img in the event of a soft brick, or to return to a locked factory state***

This is for use only on the Wifi-Only Xoom HWI69 build. Check your build number before you install!!!




Please note the following information does contain official Motorola images from a non Motorola source. The information in this thread has been tested, however I can not confirm that it will work for every situation. In no way will I or XoomForums.com be held accountable for any damage resulting from using this information. Use the following with extreme caution.






Please note this will wipe and re-lock your device




Prerequisites-


1) Be unlocked and rooted
2) Have ADB installed (see http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/moto...platforms.html for info)
3) Get ready to sweat bullets

Install Instructions-

Download the file from the link above. Unzip the file and place them in the folder you will be running commands from in ADB.

The following red text indicates what needs to be entered in the command prompt. Each command if followed by pressing enter.



adb reboot bootloader
Xoom will then reboot into bootloader screen
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
Use volume rocker to select ok and then xoom will reboot.

At this point you should be back to a factory state which includes being locked and unrooted.

Yup the 3/4g model has an SBF and also the stock images. So we have two ways out of a brick.
