    Thanks for the info. I guess I will hold out a bit then. Odd that it wipes with just gaining superuser access. I have come to expect that on most roms, but not just rooting.

    Its not the rooting that wipes it initially, its the unlocking that does.

    Gotcha. Thanks for the info guys! Looks like it will stay as is until I can no longer resist the urge to see what 1.5ghz dual core feels like LOL.

    Rooted!

    I am now ROOTED! Thanks to everyone with all the excellent help in here. I was able to go through the thread and get my Xoom rooted.

    I am referencing - [KERNEL][AOSP] Tiamat Xoom 1.1.6 (Update: 3/17) - xda-developers

    Is that what you used?
    Xoom- HC Rooted and Over-clocked @ 1604 2.2.2 Tiamat Moray
